Beauty Sample Box Time!

This blog was gifted to me in November, however took a little bit of time to get a camera and get moving.  A little backlogged with the box situation, however I think it is interesting still to see what was sent for past months, (as I did exactly this when I was searching for what boxes to sign up to).

For anyone that knows me - knows that I am a sucker for these sample beauty boxes!  There is something so exciting about un-wrapping a perfectly packaged box with mysterious beauty items arriving every month.
At the moment I am subscribed to 4 Canadian boxes and 2 US boxes.  There was a 5th Canadian box but that was cancelled after month 3.  Not impressed.  So lets see all of the gorgeous goodies that were waiting for me to try!

And so it begins with a...

$15 a month - US

Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse 30ml

This is a lightweight cleansing oil that melts through the layers of dirt, oil and makeup to remove EVERYTHING.  I have used this many times in the past and am a fan of this particular oil cleanse.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE cleansing oils and can not image taking my makeup off any other way. A mixture of apricot, grapefruit and lavender delight the senses.  Apply with clean, dry hands and massage over entire face.  Wet hands and continue to massage.  Wash with warm water and pat skin to dry.  I always follow a cleansing oil with a second cleanser as I always cleanse twice.

Alterna – 30ml Bamboo Smooth Dry Oil Mist

Spray on damp hair and style.  For stronger, smoother and healthier hair.  Bamboo oil and Kendi oil eliminate frizz, protect hair from heat tools, enhance shine& protect colour.  Doesn't every product claim to do that?  All I can say is that it is definitely lightweight as it didn't hinder my fine hair styling but the smell is blah and boring.  Won’t be added to my ‘List’!

L’Occitane – Shea dry skin hand cream 10ml
Great size for the purse, nice subtle smell and not sticky.  Great day time hand cream.

Diptyque – 2ml Volutes EDT

A spicy, woody oriental fragrance with slight tobacco and musk.  Not for me….I’m more of a sweet, vanilla perfume type as you will soon see.  Also, not an EDT girl……like them to last!

diego dalla palma – il rossetto the lipstick
Now this I have never heard of.  Made in Italy
I received colour 42 (frost golden brick) which is a bronzy, brown shade with warm undertones.  This colour will not go anywhere near my lips other than testing it in the house as I prefer the nude to pink tones, However, it does have an intense colour and is ultra moisturizing.  My usual dry, flaky lips cannot be seen and this is huge! (This will always make or break a lipstick for me)  Must be moisturizing!  Wish I got another colour, however, if I ever see this in stores, I would consider buying it as it is has a great texture and is ultra moisturizing.

Great thing about Beauty Bar is that they give you a $15 credit to use every month to place an order online if you spend $50, and if you order one of the product brands from the month’s box.  Doesn't have to be the exact product that you received, but any product from one of the brands featured in the box.  Now that rocks!
